Natural Parenting

Hallo beloved readers! I guess I will speak a little bit about Attachment Parenting.
Let's get something straight first.
1. I am not a parent
2. I am only 21 (almost 22) years old
3. I have a partner with whom I (we) plan to settle with, however we are not ready for marriage nor children as yet.
4. I have a deep desire to be a mother
5. I don't belong to a religion but I favour Buddhism and Earth-based teachings

Ok! Back on to business. I have been interested in Homeschooling and alternative parenting (from the ones I normally witness) for some years now. However, recently the desire has come back with a new vigor! I have been and still am actively looking for Secular Homeschooling blogs, curricula and materials. I have found some lovely resources that I can pass on to the little ones that I am around.

Through looking at homeschooling blogs and the like, I have come across a phenomenon known as Attachment/ Natural Parenting. It was like a beautiful light beckoning to me to join in its warm embrace. I have a firm belief that the things I am meant to know/find have always come looking for me; Just as it did with Reiki, Buddhism, Earth-based beliefs, EmoTrance, etc. I am now obsessively gleaning as many resources as possible about this parenting strategy. Reading so many articles.. particularly by Ela Forest ( I respect her so much! Her journeys with her daughter are so awe inspiring! ). I have begun spamming my Facebook wall (essentially my friend's news feeds)with lots of attachment parenting articles with the hope that I might educate and motivate a parent to do more for their child.

The Enchanted World

I have begun reading "The Enchanted World" by Dr. Silvia Hartmann. I can truly say that I am impressed and ..well I feel amazing! It is truly a must read. It may feel odd or slightly contrary to your personal beliefs but.. she has rocked my world .. and I like it! You can do more research on her or her method "EmoTrance" yourself. Don't just take my word for it.

It's raining!

It has begun to rain. I love how you know it's about to rain from the smells of the earth. So beautiful! The grass gets greener and the plants are happy. I love the way water droplets look on flowers. I love the way the droplets sparkle in the sun. 


It's wonderful to just sit quietly listening to the rain. Don't you agree?

What have you been doing this summer?

I want to know what you guys have been up to..... go on.. you can tell me. ...Really, you can. ..I'm not nosy.. just curious! :D

I, myself, have been up to several things! Let's seeee... well, I have begun learning Latin through Rosetta Stone. It's fun, albeit a little frustrating when I apparently can't get the pronunciations right! I have also decided to Homeschool my children (whenever I have them). This is a conscious decision. It's something I have been thinking about for many years, but now I am sure. I have even been gathering resources, such as free curricula, websites, books, etc. Who would have known that it would be so hard to find secular homeschooling research?! Oh well, I found enough and that makes me happy.

I have also started freelancing. Seriously. However, it's certainly not a bed of rose petals, it's got a ton of thorns!! Clients from hell, hard to find projects... furiously bidding hoping that I get a chance to work on the project. I finished one project, that one was like a dream! The client was wonderful, I enjoyed the work... check www.garotaprendada.com!..and I am currently working on another project.. it kind of seems like a nightmare but I am plodding on... slowly.. but I will get there. The client is suckish. He tries to be nice and considerate, I know. However, he is making my life hell! I don't even want to get up in the mornings.. terrified to look at his messages. ... Maybe I am making too big of a deal of this. I have do design 150 illustrations for a children's website. It is outlined the illustrations that are needed. He is ok with my visual style. I send in a few illustrations.. then "This is not fine, do something else" ... um.. ok. ... I get that you don't like it.. but what's wrong with it? What can I do to improve it? Of course my question is ignored and I get no feedback.. just do it over.. SIGH... One great thing about freelancing however, is that I work from home! I decide my own schedule, I can work in my PJ's. I don't have to apply for leave cause once I finish a project I can decide to take a break for however long I choose (how long my money will last)! I also think that working from home will also help me achieve my other goal, to homeschool.

Well moving on, my summer is pretty intense...ly full of work. I don't have time to chat with friends anymore Q_Q ... I THINK they miss me.. :iconforeveraloneplz: Oh well.. enough of myself. I gotta go get back to work.
